Freedom through art
Art is a way of feeling life and by becoming aware of the world, children become, almost without realizing it, better human beings. In addition, they begin to understand their environment better and as they grow, they understand their environment in a critical and mature way. Art plays a more important role than we think in the process of children’s education. In addition to stimulating the learning of other subjects, such as reading or mathematics, painting, drawing or modeling are essential activities for the development of perception, fine motor skills or social interaction, and knowing that we can, through the contributors and partners of Zusammen Wachsen and Fundebmuni, help these children who, with few economic resources, collaborate with this project to bring out their creativity and smiles, at the end of one of their small and large works.
Artistic teachings, in our country unfortunately relegated to a second or third place by many families and schools at national and regional level, but it is important to highlight that here in the southern region of San Cristóbal, we continue to contribute, given that in our country, they are far from being a superfluous luxury in the education of children. Therefore, thanks to freedom of expression through art and pre-schools, the children of La Jungla and Zona Verde can enjoy recreational spaces where artistic activities provide opportunities to express multiple ideas to be able to shape their own innovative creativity, to discover themselves; they enhance self-esteem and the concept of oneself.
Each work of art generates in the child who creates it the feeling of having achieved an achievement. It is enhanced as the child learns to cooperate in an artistic work carried out in a group. The children are aware of their personal contribution to the collective work and also acquire the feeling of belonging to a group.
